Chiefs Make Pit Stop in Baltimore Before Super Bowl Trip
The Kansas City Chiefs made a pit stop in Baltimore before heading to another Super Bowl. The Chiefs beat the Ravens 17-7 to earn another trip to the Super Bowl. Kansas City and Baltimore had n entertaining first quarter, but after that, KC held their own to fend off the number one seed in the AFC. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 241 yards and 1 touchdown, while Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had 11 catches for 116 yards and that sole touchdown.
The Kansas City Chiefs showed why they were who they are, which is really what this game was about. The Ravens and Chiefs each exchanged big plays in the first half, but the 2nd half was when the chiefs defense showed out. Kansas City safety Justin Reid got a crucial sack on a 3rd down. KC defensive back Devin Bush got an interception in this same quarter as well. The Ravens put up a huge fight against the Chefs, to sa the least, but their crucial mistakes helped them to a loss quicker. The 3 and out at the top of the 2nd half and the interception did them no favors at all. The Chiefs took advantage of both of those plays, and the goal line fumble in the 4th quarter, to secure this win.
49ers Fight Through for Comeback Win
The San Francisco 49ers staged a 17 point comeback win against the Detroit Lions to secure their trip to the Super Bowl. The 49ers beat the Lions 34-31 after a 2nd half surge put on by the number one seed in the NFC playoffs. This all happened in the 3rd quarter, after being down 24-7, when the Niners scored 2 touchdowns, one by San fran wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and another by San Fran running back Chirstian McCaffrey. Niners QB Brock Purdy threw for 267 yards a touchdown. Niners running bak Christian McCaffrey ha 90 yards a off of 20 rushes and 2 touchdowns.
The key to this San Francisco 49ers comeback win is QB Brock Purdy. It doesn’t matter about the weapons he has and the game manager narrative, without him making big throws, this is a whole different conversation being had in about this game. Purdy had his struggles in this game, just like he did against the Green Bay Packers last weekend, but he found a way to overcome them and deliver a win for his team. The same could be said for everyone on that team. Niners tight end George Kittle didn’t even have his first catch until the 2nd half but it was an important one. The Niners showed that despite how late they arrived, when they show up, it’s going to be a problem.
