The Houston Texans have rode their 4 game winning streak into a current playoff spot. At 6-5 the Texans sit at the 6th seed behind the Kansas City Chiefs and right above the New York Jets in the Wild Card race. Considering the wild season that has happened, this is certainly a bright spot. The two toughest games remaining on the team’s schedule are the Patriots and a road game in Indianapolis to face the Colts. Currently the Colts do not have starting quarterback Andrew Luck and share the division lead with the Texans; but they have not lost since Luck has been down due to their relatively easy schedule. However, they do face a Steelers team that is in the playoff hunt as well.
It is still very possible for the Texans to make the postseason, even with a division win, but it starts with a win against the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo has been one of the surprising teams this season with quarterback Tyrod Taylor and also a pretty decent defense. However, injuries throughout the season has knocked this team on its heels and they are struggling to keep it all together. The Texans are coming in at the right time as both teams are fighting for the postseason, but Houston may have a slight edge with the win streak going on and solid defensive play.
