In the last couple of years, the Muppets have made a strong return to popular culture with their movies, The Muppets and The Muppets 2. The films have done pretty good and featured some of the biggest stars of today. Well, as long as the Muppets have been around, it is hard to imagine how they interact with the culture if today. However, it seems that the main star, Kermit the Frog, has interacted quite well staring in a recent string of “But That’s None of My Business Memes.” In honor of the Kermit the Frog meme success here are the best meme series in the short history of memes. In other word pretty much: the short history of memes.

The memes show Kermit drinking a glass of Lipton tea with a sarcastic caption that ends with “But that’s none of my business.” For example: One meme read “I saw you pull that food stamp card out that Gucci bag…But that’s none of my business.” The internet has run rampant with these memes so much that there is now a meme with the mangled Kermit the Frog urging him to stay out of people’s business.

How long will this last though? I mean Kermit the Frog is not the only pop culture icon from TV and Movies to show up on our newsfeeds. Think about the Olivia from the Cosby Show, Bill Cosby from the Cosby Show and Alonzo from Training Day. Really that’s the nature of social media. You get some iconic character who just so happens to take a picture with a lucky pose, throw some words on them and they become famous for a minute. But that’s none of my business.
